Claire - not a lot of question there.

    http://goo.gl/OhA56I - for comparison

Same # of hits, much stronger SBB, higher stats, slightly higher SBB cost, DAT ES DOE when using her own lance/sibling link once it is activated.

    Claire has bc drop.
If u have no bc drop buffer I'd use Claire.
If u do, or are working on making a imp parade team, and only care about bc production, I'd use elza.
Iirc elza wins on normal hit production, lex/Halloween blah blah blah.

G'day my wonderful long separated sibling at birth :D

Quick question, how as a sub would Elza be a better choice? Or you referring to the Elza/Mifune thing where using Lexida with her generates a crapton ammt of BC on standard attack + Ares Excelsior?

Going to continue with team Claire. A lot of people think she reigns over Elza because the 6* vs 7* debate but that's not the case. Although a huge boost to BB gauge is in fact very nice, Spark and more BC is even better. Go for Claire.

With Feeva, I use my fully imped Elza all the time. The curse is handy at times and with Lexida, she gets the momentum going with 60 BC drops on normal attacks. She ain't kicking the bucket just yet. (y)

I haven't been a fan of Elza from the get go - good enough unit, but not a statistical outlier in any way shape or form =P

So I've been all too happy to kick mine to the curb when given the chance - my non imped Claire has around 2200 HP more, which was.. nice :D

As a sub, Claire does everything Elza does, but better. Unless of course you really need that curse chance or dark element.

    Spark Buffer Analysis

As a general rule, Claire wins. Better stats, better team buff (applicable to more content), same DCs on SBB, similar DCs on normal attack, a great ES that boosts her stats even more...Barring elemental weakness or an encounter that REQUIRES Curse, you're basically always better off with Claire.

Actually, my elza is eqUipped with lexida and virtue stone so even i use ultor as lead its still good. But claire has bc drop buff and stronger spark boost so i like to give her a shot as a sub instead of elza. I let her use virtue stone with fire lance but could not generate the same amount of bc as elza. Only tried this in arena so far so probably has a different result in quest.

Should i use lexida+vitue stone for claire? Or just stick with virtue stone+fire lance?

I opted for Virtue Stone + Fire Lance on mine.

Selena seems to have perma-Lexida on my side, both for Arena and if she ends up in any questing squad.

Fire Lance >>>> Lexida for Claire. Normal attack drop checks with Lexida are obviously great, but that doesn't affect most content where you're trying to spam SBBs. Arena is not applicable for most considerations and is not a good sphere benchmarking tool.

I use urias for my selena and seems better imo, i never really needed that revive effect for selena anyway and i have ultor, magress, or kanon to protect selena so theres that. So i guess lexida stays with elza..

I think I am at 1100 straight arena wins, the Lexida angel idol effect has saved me a couple of losses. I never have a problem with second turn SBB on all my units in Arena /shrug, YMMV, and if it is working roll w/ it.

For questing, it seems that Aurelia is going to be replacing Selena for that strange "other" slot, so I rather not swap out Lexida every time I bother walking into Arena.

    edit:
I appreciate that 4-5 losses out of 1100 matches isn't that big of a deal, the #s are still there lol..

Okie tnx, so im testing it on the wrong flatform. Lol

But if u havent tried it yet elza with lexida and virtue stone is awesome in arena. Assures bb/sbb on 2nd turn on all units. I also have ultor and a mitigator so incoming damage is puny. Just want to share the fun. ^_^

Magress/Mifune x3/Selena also functions exactly the same, Selena/Mifune are 60% Random Arena AI, Elza having the HP > 50% trigger on her BB gives way to some possibilities of RNGesus not favoring you.

I never have an issue with second turn BB/SBB either.

    On topic:
Really any spheres you pick for the most part work, if you are clearing content, roll w/ it.

    Offtopic:
Really, all that any Arena squad needs is either Selena with Lexida or 2x Halloween Orbs - Selena offers 72 drop checks using Lexida, if you also have a Sol Creator on her one can assume 50% BC drop rate, alone she will give you 7 BB gauge to every unit for the balance of the squad 3x Mifune yields 19 DC, Magress lead offers 42 DC, giving way to 34 BC generated - total BC drop from a standard drop rate is around 7/unit.

So we have 14 BB gauge on average (no other tricks involved) to each unit, when you need 12 to fill most, hitting BB is trivial and almost guaranteed, overkill will also max out your BC drop rate at 100% giving way to much more BB gen, and giving way to the 2nd turn SBB.

The above mirrors most of what I've personally seen, overkill naturally dramatically boosts your drop rates.

Add Halloween spheres and other shenanigans for more fun.

    Other offtopic:
Aurelia is the light one, with say Feeva's RCV buff, and a colt friend lead, she is able to give comparable additional defense similar to what one would get from Kanon - with the benefit of actually stacking with all existing defense buffs/LS/Ultor SBB/etc..
