Recently got back into BF again and need some help with squad!

    So I recently got back into brave frontier and I summoned a few new units, not sure who I should prioritise, etc. I also used to have a lot more units but I sold the ones that didnt reach the omni evolution (apart from two units which I liked) xD anyway, these are my current units:

    Omni: :thunder:Furious Thunder Cleria, :fire:Triumphant Blaze Valen.
    7 *: :fire:Ardent Dawn Avant, :thunder:Prism Lightning Reud (second unit that doesnt reach omni), :earth:Nature Demon Mordlim, :earth:Emerald Knight Hisui, :earth:Alliance Leader Freed, :light:Allien Light Diastima, :water:Marine Emperor Zeleste, :water:Leviathan Sage Elimo, :water:Bubbling Spring Azalea, :water:Frigid Blade Asto (I read he's mainly for arena), :water:Boreal Tempest Hail (one of the units that doesn't reach omni), :dark:Judgement Demon Zalvard, :dark:Waning Moon Mizo Dorte.
    6*: :fire:Mighty Blaze Griff, :fire:Goddess Axe Michele, :light:Creator Maxwell, :dark:Cardes the Malevolent, :dark:Zevalhua the Supreme.
    5*: :dark:Grahdens, :dark:Ryujin Mifune.
    Current Squad: Cleria as leader, Valen, Avant, Reud and Michele.

    The Maxwell, Grahdens, etc you have on that list aren’t Omni capable units. Just so we’re clear on that. There are Omni versions, but they’re completely separate rewards from different content, those you have there don’t evolve up.

    MAIN SQUAD
    :thunder:Cleria, :earth:Mordlim, :dark:Zalvard, (next two slots depend)
    - Cleria or Mordlim lead for hard boss fights, for easier content use Zeleste lead or something, see below
    - Cleria for heals, ailment cleanse and BB gauge fill. Note that Cleria BB and SBB effects are different, keep both up
    - Mordlim for 50% dmg reduction/mitigation, which is a key squad role here. Also stat buffs, debuffs. SP Mordlim at Omni for two turn duration on dmg reduction
    - Zalvard for crit, but actually mainly for his UBB, which grants 80% chance units don’t die when killed, cast this early vs bosses as safety net (it doesn’t expire based on turns, lasts until triggered)
    - remaining squad slots depend, if friend is NOT Regil, Lukroar or any unit with spark dmg buff, bring :water:Zeleste for spark dmg. Regil and Lukroar are preferred friends tho.
    - Mordlim does def buff relative to atk stat, combining with basic def buff (which she also has) and strengthened by basic atk buff...you have no atk buff. Can bring :fire:Avant or :fire:Michele for this.
    - Cleria and Mordlim cover most heal and support but don’t have crit dmg null. Can bring :earth:Freed if you need this for some bosses

    FRONTIER HUNTER/CRIT
    :fire:Avant (Lead) + :fire:Michele, :water:Zeleste, :thunder:Cleria, (and one more unit)
    - SP Michele at Omni for element add

    ARENA
    Regular arena, colo atk: :water:Asto (Lead) + :dark:Zalvard, :dark:Mifune, (choice of 2x units)
    Colo def: same thing except Zalvard lead, maybe
    - if your account isn’t too old you may have summoner’s diary feature or whatever it’s called and can claim a free Selena for arena use, though she’s really only valuable with her Lexida sphere from vortex GGC

    Thank you so much for the information!! :) I think at the very beginning of the game I may have had selena but since I didn't know what I was doing at the time I may have sold her... Right now I'm also focusing on Cleria's omni+ boost (is it really that necessary? I'm close to her second omni boost and it only increases her sp by 5) should I prioritise evolving Mordlim and Zalvard first (since omni boost uses so many resources)? Also if Grahdens and Maxwell don't evolve up what are they useful for? Is there a reason I should keep them? Thanks again ! :)

    Omni+1, +2 and +3 doesn't add that much extra SP points. +1 adds 5 more SP, +2 adds another 5 more SP, and +3 adds a whopping 10 SP, but it's costly in resources to push to +3. Depending on the unit, 5 or 10 extra SP may not make much of a difference. For Cleria, fundamentally all you really need is the 20 SP for 30% boost to all stats, then probably 10 SP for LS stat boost, possibly 30 SP for LS BB fill, the rest I feel is optional and subject to taste. Build probably isn't super ultra tight, and due to the hefty 35 cost on enhancing her heals she probably isn't gonna take both heal boosts anyway.

    Omni+ does add additional stat imp caps and will be necessary to qualify a unit for use in some upcoming Global content. I'd say +1 key units first, hold off on +2, and only go +3 if you're dead certain there.

    Old-school Maxwell and so on were good in their day, but these days are simply trophy units. Some of the older legacy reward units do have utility in things like Summoner Mode, and technically Grahdens, Tilith and the like may still be relevant even at 7* max for players without access to better units.

    I recently got :fire:Dragon Warrior Lyonesse, :earth:Wulf Aspirant Fealan and :dark:Moble Links Johan. I was wondering if this changes anything with the main squad, arena, etc?

    Doesn't make a difference really. Lyonesse is the third best mono-fire leader in the game, well, assuming it's for a fire squad versus water bosses, e.g. in Guild Raid...but you aren't likely to be making a fire-only squad...you can't do a full squad of fire Omnis at the moment, really. So Lyonesse has use, but she's sorta specialised. Faelan is...a bit of an odd kit, it's usable if you really really like the unit, but otherwise the way she's put together, you really do need to sphere her for ailment inflict to have her hold her weight, and for your main build you might as well just use Mordlim. Finally, Johan is a mitigator, and all mitigators are by definition good. But of course some are more equal than others, and Mordlim's likely a better pick to build around.

    So.. I recently got :fire:Blazing chain Barbara, :water:Divine wolf, I got two :thunder:evil corpse jireid, and :earth:Justice blade Nagid in my first vortex arena summon... was also wondering if this changed anything with squad or arena etc. (Sorry if this is getting a bit tedious). I appriciate the help!

    They're potentially usable, though not must-haves. Alternatives for existing main slot units.

    MAIN SQUAD #1 (same as above, including new options)
    :thunder:Cleria, :earth:Mordlim, :dark:Zalvard, (next two slots depend)

    - if need spark dmg buff (i.e. friend isn't Regil/Lukroar), take Zeleste/Jireud/Barbara
    - if need atk buff to strengthen Mordlim's def relative to atk, take Michele/Avant/Divine Wolf
    - if need crit null, take Freed (he also does OD fill but that's optional)
    - if need all three of the above, remove Zalvard from squad
    - Cleria/Mordlim lead for hard boss fights, Jireud lead for easier stuff (possibly Zeleste/Avant lead as well)

    MAIN SQUAD #2 (variant of above)
    :thunder:Cleria, :earth:Nagid, :dark:Zalvard, :thunder:Jireud, (last slot depends)
    - SP Nagid for def relative to atk, SP Jireud for ailment inflict
    - if need atk buff, take Michele/Avant/Divine Wolf
    - if need crit null, take Freed
    - if need both, remove Zalvard
    - Cleria lead for hard boss fights, Jireud lead for easier stuff (maybe Avant)
